SWINE

Swine... most domestic swine are descended from the Eurasian wild boar.  Humans have kept domestic pigs for more than 9,000 years.

Here at the farm we have Old Gloucester Spot pigs.  They are a large white pig with black spots.  They have large ears that droop down.

Old Gloucester Spots are good foragers. One of their greatest strengths is their ability to thrive in harsh weather with almost any source of food. They do not require much in the way of special care.

Old Spots are also known as Orchard pigs because they were often fed on windfall apples.
